On 11/1, my wife and I closed on our apartment sale and hit the road…
We are now in Encinitas, CA and loving every second of it.
Which means – I left NYC.
I will most certainly be back here periodically, but my new base will be the San Diego area and specifically, that gorgeous beach town 20 minutes north of downtown, Encinitas…
We’re really, really excited for the move for a few reasons:
1) We want to start a family, and don’t want to do that in NYC
2) I will always love NYC, but I’m really ready for something different – particularly a different pace and laid back lifestyle
3) We want to be closer to nature, and Southern California has it in droves
Basically, our move is a lifestyle choice. Unlike in prior decades when people had to live where the work was, today we have more freedom to go and live where we want. I run an online business, and can really live anywhere as long as there is a good wifi connection.
So, we moved because we WANT to…not because we have to in any way.
And, our choice is based on wanting to be closer to the ocean, in a better climate (we know about the drought…) and near the beauty that is the great southwest.
Plus, it’s kind of nice to drive your car to the grocery store, shop, pack your car and drive it home. Things aren’t that simple here in the Big Apple…
If you’re based in Southern California (San Diego, Los Angeles, etc), I’ll officially start up my coaching work in January, 2016. Feel free to fill-out the application form on my coaching page to setup a time to work with me then.
Go here to do that right now:
It’s an amazing time for me and my wife. I’ll be sharing all about it, and talking about our next steps (which are even more exciting…trust me) on the podcast throughout the process.
