One of my main goals as a dating coach is to simplify…
In fact, I think it’s a helpful attitude towards any area in life – simplify, reduce, minimize.
Too often, we overthink the things that are super important to us. Take investing, for example. We hire someone to manage our funds, we’re always on the lookout for the next great stock or deal, we obsess over reports and trends.
In fact, the best investment strategy is usually really simple: probably some combination of an S&P 500 fund, with a few other asset classes mixed into the portfolio. You’re good to go in all manner of conditions.
(NOTE: I’m not a financial advisor, though if you haven’t read Tony Robbins’ book “Money: Master the Game”, you’re missing out on the clearest advice available…)
The same is true when meeting women.
We overthink it and over strategize, often to compensate for our nerves and fear. The result is an overly mechanical approach, which often comes off disingenuous and fake. Women don’t trust it, and we walk away frustrated and convinced that “I need a new gimmick” or “that line didn’t work”…
In this week’s Lifestyle Arts Podcast, I outline my simple and elegant 3-step process for meeting new women in any circumstance. It’s mature, intuitive, it embraces all personality types and it doesn’t force you to remember a bunch of silly lines.
It also won’t protect you from feeling fear or discomfort…
Here’s a secret: women WANT to see a little fear, a little discomfort from you. They want to see that this approach MATTERS to you.
Coming off too smooth usually signals “something’s up” to them, because not feeling fear when approaching her is not normal. She wants to see you risk, she wants to see you walk through your fear….for her.
