Do what scares you
If you can’t you must
Fail fast and fail often
What one man can do any man can do
What’s between us?
These are just some of the powerful soundbites I was able to type from my interview with Mike Hrostoski.
I first became aware of Mike via Michaela Boehm (see episode 41 for my interview with her) and was immediately impressed with the power and depth of his message. He felt to me like a younger (& more accessible) version of David Deida.
He had also experimented, and had some serious success with, pick-up…
This, obviously, interested me greatly.
What struck me throughout my conversation with Mike was his singular focus of helping men. Everything he does, it seems, comes from a place of service to others.
And yet, unlike many leaders in the “mens movement”, Mike embraces both sides of himself – the light AND the dark…thus his experience with pick-up, and his determination to face his fears – daily.
In this interview, you are going to hear about his breathtaking path to success, his remarkable turning point which simultaneously blended both heartbreak and inspiration and his remarkable new “school” designed to help other men achieve more power, love and freedom in life.
Some specific things Mike offers on the podcast:
- How to get, and remain, open
- How pick-up served him and how he moved past this phase into a more enduring power with women
- What he tells himself when he enters a room
- How he communicates with his girlfriend
- What he learned from David Deida
- What he does first thing every morning
- The value in having a community of men in your life
- How he handles moments of self sabotage
The freedom and comfort with which Mike shares all sides of his story and philosophy is very impressive and, I hope, will inspire you on this week’s Lifestyle Arts Podcast.
Enjoy!
