I was first made aware of Stephen Mansfield a few years ago when he released his terrific Mansfield’s Book of Manly Men.
A client of mine recommended it to me and I loved it. The reason why?
It’s a book of DOING. It’s not overly philosophical or “heady”. He lays out a way of life for us to follow – a challenging and brave path.
In the book he describes four tenets to masculinity, namely:
- Manly men do manly things
- Manly men tend their fields
- Manly men build manly men
- Manly men live to the glory of God
In this interview with Stephen Mansfield, we dig into each of these illustrating what each of these looks like in real life leaving you with a clear portrait of what it means to be a man today, now, in this world.
We also discuss the connection between purpose and spirituality, the importance of a “Band of Brothers” and what women really, really, want from us.
I learned a lot from this conversation, and I’m 100% sure you will too. Stephen Mansfield has empathy for the struggle, but the right dose of power to announce a clear call for us to rise and become our best selves.
